Job Description:
Masters is seeking a full-time professional to work as a Concrete Plant Manager at our Tunkhannock, PA location.  This individual will work to ensure the safe and efficient operation of a concrete plant, coordinate plant maintenance repairs and housekeeping, maintain and update the mix design catalog, manage and report inventory levels, and ensure that quality standards are met.  It is expected that other duties assigned by Managers of Masters be carried out with the cooperation of the team. All Managers are asked to govern themselves, in both personal behavior and appearance, to emulate the core values of the company.

Job type: full-time; hourly with overtime, 45-55 hours plus seasonally

  • Ability to understand mechanical systems
  • Background in ready-mix concrete preferred, but not required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote safety and maintain a clean work environment
  • Maintain plant readiness and meet customer needs.
  • Daily attendance and preparation
  • Start-up, operation, and shut down of batch plant on a daily basis
  • Batch concrete in a timely manner to ensure on-schedule deliveries
  • Supervise plant personnel
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedule
  • Communication and teamwork with key relationships
  • Coordinate with quality control department
  • Monitor and document raw materials inventory and maintain necessary levels for production
  • Direct ready mix truck drivers at the plant and when delivering concrete in the area.
  • Coordinate and document plant and equipment maintenance with Maintenance Manager
  • Perform various maintenance duties around the plant and grounds.
